Default Tire Pressure Sensor

Hi all,

I plan to buy a set of FX4 20" rims and replace my OEM 18". My XLT comes with the TPS system already but I'm wondering if it needs to be changed with that from the FX4?

The reason I asked is the seller asked if I needed his TPS. I assume since my truck is equipped with it I likely don't need it and just need to get my TPS programmed for the new tires?

Or, do I need his TPS?

Thanks

TPMS programming tool, $20-$30 at the stealership. Less than 1% of the overall price of new tires/rims I assume. This way, if you ever swap back, you have the tool. I bought a summer set of wheels, with their own TPMS, I had to retrain otherwise the warning light and chime came on.

No brainer- just do it.
