Default FX4 CNG Conversion

I just got my '13 FX4, 5.0 back from the install company. Had a M-Tech CNG retrofit kit put on with a 24.5 GGE tank and flat black tank cover. Nat-Gas did a great job on the install as I am very picky and usually install things myself. I had them remove the cig charger opposite of the 4x4 shifter for my auxiliary fuel gauge. It helps keep the factor appearance. I even averaged 18.3 mpg on the way home in stop and go, rainy interstate traffic from downtown Houston. So far, very satisfied with the install and performance. I'll get some interior shots and exterior bed pics up tomorrow in the daylight to do it justice.

I work in the oil/gas sector and we support our own cause. It's appearance when we pull up to the customers office (drilling operator) not to mention we have a private pump at our office. This kit was provided to me at no cost, now no fuel cost either. If I do need a public fill, $1.61/gal equivalent.

All benefits, no out of pocket....

How much did the conversion cost you? I am very interested in this and was just talking to my wife about this a few hours ago.

Depending on the mods, 8-11K. You get 50% tax credit for that cost on that years tax return.

You can even get a slow fill station for your residence if you have gas plumbed already. It's a still cheaper than pump gas if your looking long term. I think I had a quote for about $1700 for the private station but I'm shooting from the hip, I'd have to look at my paperwork again tomorrow at the office.

The install company does fleet trucks and said that the F150 5.0 is by far the best retrofit application. I toggled the fuels back and forth on the way home and if not for the led switch indicator, I couldn't have told you which was which.
