Fuse 27 TSB
I think if vehicle wont start and fuse holder is melted they would probably cover it. Intermittent issue they could jam in fuse and waste your time.
With another manufacturer , I still had warranty and road side assistance when throttle stepper motor was causing limp mode issue. They were playing reset game because end of warranty was near.
I finally had it towed almost seventy five miles on a flat bed (awd vehicle) , I asked them if they enjoyed the towing bill, and if it was going to be another reset ecm game. They coldly replied, no we replaced stepper motor and even gas pedal feed back switch, we don't want another expensive towing bill.
If you have time to waste and road side assistance, you have leverage for a force repair IMO.

Could one of the Ford Customers service rep contact me. After reading some of these replies. Why wouldn't the power train or Ford ESP cover the TSB for fuse 27 relocation? It's a 2013 5.0 with 29,000. I do have the Ford ESP plan too.
Just wondering why I had to pay.

Thats why I did my own.
This is one that was argued in another post on the same issue, this should be a recall. Its a life and death safety issue. File a complaint with NHTSA also.

Just did mine over the weekend. Fuse 27 was still pristine, $20 and about 1/2 hour. 2012 5.0 with just over 50k miles.
Super old thread but this just happened on my 2010 F150 Lariat, 5.4 V-8. Way past warranty. Everything shut down at once, while I was towing my trailer, going uphill (naturally). Somehow got off the road far enough (barely) to not block traffic.
Would not start, dash "wrench" warning light was on. Did the "thrifty bill manual reset", raised hood, looked around a bit, pondered the problem, closed hood, truck started up! Drove to the nearest dealer (was 1,000 miles from home). They got me in (thank you!) and I was on my way. Cost ~ $200.
This problem could leave you stranded!! ~ 140,000 miles on the truck.
Kind of scary when the truck shuts down, wrench warning light and CEL both come on, won't start, dead in the water. Towing a trailer makes everything more difficult. Thinking maybe I should have got that Good Sam tow service, as I was middle of nowhere at the time.
The "advantage" of the TSB is it made diagnosis super easy. Yes, fuse 27 was melted.
Knowing what I know now, if you are a bit of a road warrior and use your truck as a tow rig, do yourself a favor and get this repair done before it breaks down. Glad it didn't happen on our road trip to Alaska! To me, it should have been a recall, but I do not make the rules!
