Guys, I have a FX4 2014 and I'm in early research stage.


I really like the front emblem camera idea but I recently purchased a blacked out Ford Emblem from Custom Truck Solutions so I'd like to keep that emblem.


Any recommendations for a Grille Camera?


Do they work with Ford display in the FX4?


Does it have a second RCA to hook up?


Do the liscense Camera's look cheesy? I looked at this Camera.

The rear camera setups have a 9" base as the bezel. We have sold a few setups to guys who are retrofitting the bezel the front emblem location with not much effort. As for how the actual camera is tied in, I wouldn't be of much help. I'm sure just a standard ebay "square" camera similar to the OEM shape would work fine, and provide you with a simple hook up into an aftermarket display such as an Edge CTS or double din radio. Wish I could help more, but I just know it can be done to keep a factory look.

 

Wouldn't a front mounted camera on the licence plate get dirty all the time? And what about stone chips? I think a camera mounted on the rear view mirror or somewhere else inside would work better. Just a a thought .

I've been thinking about doing this myself. Basically you'll need a lock pick and a factory rear back up cam

After that you'd have to get a new cts emblem or send them your camera emblem for painting. This is on my to do list, but I want to get some suspension stuff out of the way first.
