Default Front bumper question.

Is the profile of a 2015 front bumper the same as a 2014? A friend of a friend has a Raptor style front bumper for a 2015 dirt cheap and it got me wondering if I could mount it on my 2014 FX4.

As different as those two trucks are from each other, I'd say not

That's what I figured. Was hoping maybe it was only the mounting brackets that were different. I could fab those up if that were the case.

Get a measuring tape. If you can fab brackets that might be all that's needed.

My main concern is if it would look right with the body lines, like bottom of grill to top of bumper. Mounts would be no problem. I have a full fab shop at my disposal at work.

One way to find out, have your friend hold the bumper up to cover your bumper while you stand back and look at all angles.

There was a thread pn here I seen a long time ago where someone swapped the 15-17 bumper onto their 14. They said it was a bit of work to get it to line up and they had to drill new bolt holes for it. But overall its not a horrible look just different seeing it.

The 15 bumper I'm looking at is a Raptor style so I would be changing the looks anyway.
Thanks for the info!
