I can't believe nobody posted back on this one...

It appears correct, for my 2013 XLT at least.
Mine was factory set to 2, changed it to 3.
It now takes a double press to activate the panic.
Single press still cancels it.

Good find because I too have had the occasional pocket activation.

LOL, I forgot. And I've even been plugged in since that post, so it would've been easy to change that.

I can report that the Panic Feature Activation Type does exactly what you think it does! I tried it over the weekend and it does work. I set mine to 2 presses because I am always accidentally setting t off.

Has anyone else played with the VIDs feature? Mine shows up as a 2wd it is not, Mine shows as an error retreiving if it has Select Shift or not, I try setting it to Select Shift enabled and it crashes when trying to write it. Is there a logging or debugging mode I can put ForScan in and send the logs to them?

When you connect to forscan and it asks you if you want to load the saved vehicle, say no. Let it re-find the information and see if that fixes anything.

Vehicle IDentification. It is part of the PCM which lets it know is it a Select Shift, Is it a 4wd, is it a premium model or low end model? I BELIEVE it also holds if it is a V8 or V6 if some shared the same. is part of the PCM blocks that can be changed in IDS. If you go to servicemotorcraft.com/asbuilt you have 9 lines of editable "PCM" code
PCM1 FFFF FFFF FF0F
PCM2 FFFF FFFF 00FF etc etc it is what the folks at Forscan called the VIDs or Vehicle ID blocks.

Do you think this line will do the same as unhooking the negative side plug on the battery?
726-30-01 In-Vehicle Battery Management Configuration Feature: 0=false, 1=true

Isn't worth the effort of investigating when it's so simple to just unplug. IMHO

Thanks to Rnlcomp, Livnitup and all the other contributors. I finally installed and programed the remote start on my 13 STX today. Been looking at doing this for over a year now. Glad I finally got Forscan installed and now will look at doing some of the other mods as well.
Thanks again!
