Also, my truck did not have DRL's on originally, if that matters.
Has anyone with a 2013-14 and OEM HIDs tried to enable the heads as DRLs, and what were the results?
Really don't want yellow DRLs, meaning turns, and IMO the Morimoto fogs which I installed yesterday are turning out to be poor DRLs compared to the factory fogs and the very bright JDM All Star LEDs.

The OEM HID's aren't set up that way because HIDS can only be run on full voltage as compared to halogens which can be run half powered. And it prolongs expensive HID bulb life by not using them as DRL's.
DRL's aren't there to provide an actual light source. It is only to warn oncoming traffic that you're moving. As long as 2 forward facing lights are on at all times in DRL regulated areas you are fine.

I retrofitted my 2k Expedition to use the halogen heads as DRLs, even installing the OEM relay module and resistor.
When I converted to the Sylvania HID housings, I removed the DRL module and resistor and just switched the headlights on myself.
So what is stopping you from just turning on your heads now if you want to use them as DRL's. If it's a safety thing for you then I'm sure the use of your taillights should be included.
In daylight I prefer the contrast of a tail light coming from full dark to brake, as opposed to running light to brake. I'm trying to get back to that with my new truck.
