My 2011 seems to have a harsh 1-2 2-1 shift or more noticable then the other gear shifts anyway, but if it is only these two, I am ok with it for now with only haveing 1100 miles on her.

The messed up thing here is when our warranty's run out I bet there going to find all kinds of things to repair on these tranny's just an observation I have made in the past... I had a 1995 f150 the a/c belt was chirping when I started it with the a/c on and it had a little miss when I turned the a/c off but in FLA you run the a/c 11 out of 12 month so no big deal I took it to the dealer they wanted 2900.00 to repair it I almost swallowed my tong... they told me my a/c was about to blow up 1600.00 to replace the comp an bunch of other stuff, and they needed to replace my EGR some other plug they wanted to relocate my oil filter Y I have no Idea, oops I remember when I started the truck it made a low end rattle for a few seconds it was the phram filter it didn't have a check valve and it was draining back in to the motor, and they wanted to replace a welch plug I have no Idea what that is to this day and a couple of other things I can't remember 1300.00 yea my warranty was done. So I asked them how much I owed them''39.99'' I picked up my truck,I decided to buy the EGR valve and one of the plugs and replace them my self,I went to Gator Ford which was a different dealer and purchased the parts for 198.00 and ''wallah'' nothing changed so I just gave up I drove the truck for another 2 1/2 years and I was still waiting for the a/c to and I quote blow up, Finding an honest repair shop is priceless...P.S. If anybody knows what a welch plug is please let me know...

A welch plug is a cap put in to cover were a machine tool went in to drill out a passage. They come in all kinds of sizes but they more or less look like this:

To me it seems that Ford is just biding their time until all the 2009-10s are out of warranty.
Well, with the 5-year, 60,000 mile powertrain warranty, we have some time to trade them in, don't we?

Im having the same trans issues as you guys, i have had my truck in for this issue 7 times, numerous reflashs, new mechatronic unit, new slip yoke and still nothing. I opened a case with ford motor company and to start they gave me an extended service plan for up to 75000 miles for nothing, if I were some of you I would start up the formal complaint procedure and make it fords problem for an additional 15000 miles, one way or another, somethings gotta give. I have an appt this week to take it into an independent reputable trans shop to properly diagnose this problem, and if this shop finds and fixes the truck I will send the bill to ford.

Looks like ford not so tough screwed the 2011 guys too with the weird transmission because I'm seeing them complaining too.

I haven't seen any 2011 owners complain about the transmission? I've actually seen ALOT of former 2009/2010 owners say how much better the 2011 transmission is.
