Default Ford Smartlink

Has anyone heard any updates about the Ford Smartlink?
It was announced in Jan that it would be avail for sale at dealers this summer.
Cannot find any update links on the web.

It has been radio silence since the release. What little I've heard from dealers is that they have customers asking, but they're getting nothing from Ford.

Given the recent upheaval in the upper ranks, that might change (the new guy has a tech-related background), but there hasn't been anything yet.

Office furniture is far from tech related. He spent 30 years at Steelcase.

It's supposed to add Ford Pass functionality tomost of the 2011-2017 Fords that do not have it, via a OBDII dongle, similar to Delphi Connect.

So, after over a year of silence from Ford about this launch, I got an email from Ford a couple weeks ago that linked to a website about "FordPass Smartlink"

However, when I contacted my dealer about availablity for my 2014 F150, I got the response that: "Ford does not off kit for 2014 f-150

Thanks

Anybody else look into this yet? If so, has anybody discovered otherwise?

Found this today:

They replaced a much cheaper option with this expensive one. $16.99 a month for two years. But doesn't say how much after that.
