Default Floor jack

Hi guys,

What size jack is suitable....1.5 ton, 2 ton 3 ton? Will be using mostly to rotate the tires myself.

I use a 3 ton jack which works well. I don't know if I would go too much smaller. My 4x4 screw is no tiny dancer...

My problem is finding jack stands that are tall enough to get all the wheels off the ground at the same time. My fronts only end up about 1/2 in off the ground at the end...

Northern Tools has a wide selection of jacks and jack stands.

Go big or go home! If I had the money I would have a lift...

Thanks for the Northern Tool suggestion

I'd look at Harbor freight. They make some nice floor jacks for the money. Plus you can find 20% off coupons all over the net.

I got the Harbor Freight 3 ton jack. Works well for the money. I use the Craftsman 4 ton jackstands when I rotate tires. They have plenty of height to get the tires up off the ground.

My 2 ton Harbor Freight low profile aluminum "racing" (HA!) jack handles both my F150's with no problems. Best of all, it's the same exact jack sold by Summit, JEGs, etc. with different color anodized aluminum for almost half the price!
