Problem with bottle jack is you need to be more level ; or truck can lean off jack and fall over. Not as easy to use IMO. Rolling jack can self centre and adjust a bit as the load us lifted ; with larger lifting saddle built in.

If you are doing DIY oil changes etc, get a rolling jack , it's money well spent.
A couple of tire rotations etc and jack is paid for.

With ANY jack you need to use jack stands so it does not fall over. I even shake the vehicle forcibly to make sure. I also usually leave the jack under the car as additional insurance.

Picked up a 3.5 ton jack and 2 3 ton jack stands at Northern Tool today. Good deal on the jack, $30 off.

Just added another floor jack to my collection
I thought it was a 2 or 3 ton just due to size/heavy frame
Turns out its just an older model when they were made like tanks
Its a Walker 1 ton model 93636, A series
Never thought I would see a floor jack with a serial number
As long as it works I'll keep it, newer ones are a much lighter frame

I use the 4 ton hi rise jacks. and 4 ton jack stands. Seems to work just fine for the uses. On the wife's car though, we use her dad's service shop. Lmao. He has a hydraulic lift. That thing is sweet. Haha.

Lol a bit overkill, but they are really well made, and I think I got it all as a set for like $120

I have a 2.5 or 3 ton napa floor jack and 2 12ton stands and 2 old old stands given to me by my grandfather, no clue the weight limit. I know they work fine in every vehicle I have worked on.
