Default Finally getting to do some camping.

First camping trip of the year takes us to Content Bridge east of Red Deer, Alberta.

Just hauling a rent trailer, 4 adults, a dog and all our crap and beer! Truck had no problems getting us here, lots of power passing semi's on the highway. I figure I was about half of my max tow limit of #7200 and was overall impressed.

Looking forward to some good weather and a relaxing time..... Hopefully.

Congrats on camping, but have to ask why you think your at half your tow limit? If that trailer weights that much I would be concerned.

I pull this and never have had a issue, even with a quad and a generator in the back of the truck.

So.. basically not one nice post.
Two guys bash his trailer, another guy one-ups him with photos of his own.
It's always a contest on these truck forums..

Anyway, glad to hear you had a good time out.
Good looking truck, enjoy the time off.

Sweet. I have been on a couple trips this year so far. My trailer is 30' with 6500# dry weight. Loaded with me, wife 2 kids and dog and my 2012 pulls it just fine. I have the 5.0 with 3.73 gears.

No worries, I just figure about 3500lbs for all the gear/people and trailer combine and I have a tow limit of 7200. Maybe I am don't understanding how it all adds up. If I can take more great. Either way, towing and hauling when did I was happy with how I performs. I like the smaller trailer, it fits in my backyard and we have no kids. Woks great for us.

Sweet. If I needed more room we'd have a bigger trailer. With the sport suspension in this truck it can't take too big of one (I think).
