Nice to get camping in Alberta! We have such a short summer.I have made 3 trips so far to Drumheller, Bow Valley in Kannanaskis, and Fairmont Hot Springs, B.C. I wish it would stop raining! Enjoy your camping!

When we lived in BC we were going 6-7 times a year, we might get in 3-4 since we moved to Edmonton. We have a week long one planned in August that will take us to the Cascade mountains near Hope, BC. It will be a 2500km round trip through the mountains. Can't wait to tow through there.

Just hauling a rent trailer, 4 adults, a dog and all our crap and beer! Truck had no problems getting us here, lots of power passing semi's on the highway. I figure I was about half of my max tow limit of #7200 and was overall impressed.

Looking forward to some good weather and a relaxing time..... Hopefully.
Beautiful truck Enjoy your camping!

It's always a contest on these truck forums..

Anyway, glad to hear you had a good time out.
Good looking truck, enjoy the time off.
Your correct, that was a douce thing to do, my apologies to the OP, I forgot the Limited had a much lower tow rating, and the beer was talking last night. Have fun camping, I always do.

Lucky, still haven't got to get out yet. Nice camper. Had a couple of Pop Ups and miss them but unfortunately, not the problems I had with them.

Here's some pics of my Pop Ups, my Travel Trailers, and the trucks I towed them with.

Yours looks like a Jayco Jay Series 1007

So is this it or what model do you actually have??

Gotta love those "One uppers" haha.

By the way, if i was going camping, i would get the same one as the first post. It gets the job done and perfect size. If i wanted a house, i would go camping on my back yard

I love how people just ASS_U_ME that Pop Ups are lighter then they are and are much cheaper than they are.

I had a 2007 Starcraft 2406 Pop Up. It was a standard wall (height) pop up with no slide. It weighed loaded at 2800 lbs. It had no built on front trunk or anything. It also was nearly the same cost as my 2008 Jayco Jay Flight 19BH 23' travel trailer.

So it wasn't very light, only being a few hundred lbs lighter than some small travel trailers, and it was just as expensive.

Pop Ups are in high demand and have been. Being so, their price reflects that as they (2406) can be a poor value next to a camper with appliance upgrades that can cost thousands more as my 19BH Jay Flight.

It not uncommon for a pop up to weight around 3200 lbs loaded.

Yep. It's a 2007 model 1007. It still smelled new when we bought it two years ago as the previous owner only used it 4-5 times. It has a modern look inside and has everything but the bathroom. Plus it can sleep 6 adults easily.

7200lbs is your gvwr bud, not how much you can tow.

I have a travel trailer and feel guilty when I call it "camping." I clicked this thread hoping to envy someone doing some back country car camping in a 4x4. I've done it in the past, but having my own space, a shower, toilet, and kitchen sure is nice.
