Default Factory stereo

Is there some type of limiter on the factory stereo. I have the fx2 loaded out and it just seems to not get loud enough for me or the wife I asked the dealer about it and they looked at me crazy. I get I my uncles new dodge and it's louder than you want. Hell my 2001 f350 stock radio jams louder.

Do you have the MYKey programmed? You might have limited the sound with that.

my key allows you to set max radio volume, max vehicle speed, radio muted unless seat belts buckled, unable to turn off traction control..all that fun stuff

There is a my key but it's all off I made sure it was all off. I just went through all the settings and made sure it was all set right and it still just won't get all that loud you know that roll the windows down and crank it up loud and it's the sony system with the sub under the back seat. I am going to ask my local audio shop he is good with all the computer systems in cars now maybe he knows something

As I get older I don't feel the need for really loud stereos like I used to have in every vehicle but this one just dosent cut it I mean it has a great sound quality but no loudness
