Factory stereo
Some of the factory stereos do limit the highs and lows. After you reach 40% of full volume it only increases the mid-range and it sounds weird.
Adding a 4 channel amp and playing with the gains is a cheap way around it. Decent 4 channel amps can be had for ~$100.

Check these out. They'll fit in the dash behind the factory head unit.

I second that ...I also have a 14 Ram 2500 6.4 truck with a base 3.0 and that thing rocks . Would have to spend $1K on my F150 to even get close .
Is there some type of limiter on the factory stereo. I have the fx2 loaded out and it just seems to not get loud enough for me or the wife I asked the dealer about it and they looked at me crazy. I get I my uncles new dodge and it's louder than you want. Hell my 2001 f350 stock radio jams louder.
