Some of the factory stereos do limit the highs and lows. After you reach 40% of full volume it only increases the mid-range and it sounds weird.

Adding a 4 channel amp and playing with the gains is a cheap way around it. Decent 4 channel amps can be had for ~$100.

I second that ...I also have a 14 Ram 2500 6.4 truck with a base 3.0 and that thing rocks . Would have to spend $1K on my F150 to even get close .

Seriously though, what media source are you using? Sirius for some reason doesn't get loud but an hd station on radio or bt do for me...

blue bell chocolate chip the best lol. I use all of them and they are all not loud
