Yes I do. But when you need to run into the store or something kids can watch a movie while they wait .

Maybe it's just 35 years of driving habit, but I still like using rear view/side view mirrors while backing up, with the video mostly to fill in the blanks of what I can't see. Perhaps you adjust to looking down at your console instead of up at your mirrors if you do it every day, but to me, it seems more like a video game than driving.

Not really. It will use your phone to communicate with Ford Sync, and you can get some limited info on weather, sports, etc. predefined through Ford sync and your cell phone, but that is not even close to having internet functionality.

Seems like how we like to build our F150's varies widely...
I love my FX4, hate the Lariat trim. I love my e-locker, and wouldn't even consider Ford's Lim. slip instead. I love my center console and bucket seats, and don't know why anybody would buy a bench unless they need to seat six. And I love my iPad far more than the factory nav. But I know that there are plenty of owners out there that disagree with every one of those opinions...
If anyone backs up using just the rearview camera they are dumb! The whole point is to use it as an aid. The point I was making is that if money was no concern there is not a logical or rational reason why one would "prefer" the rearview mirror option over the nav screen option.

Looking up into the rearview mirror there may be a lot of sun, which is not a problem looking at the center stack. The smaller image size would seem to force you to focus on it a lot more vs the nav screen size, potentially causing a lapse to check side mirrors. The dual view is way more "video game like." The nav view is just the one view, nothing else, just that and large!

I LOVE the factory Nav... I have found it to be very accurate and simple to use...(other then NOT being able to change destinations while driving)... I also really like the Sirius Travel link....I use it all the time, mainly for weather maps...

Last night I was headed home in some torrential weather and it didnt seem to matter which way I headed, I was stuck in bumper to bumper traffic while the storms pounded us... I hit up the Travel link and pulled the weather map on the screen, then i could see exactly what was going on and where... It also showed me the major traffic jams. This didnt really help shorten my drive any because the crap was everywhere but I really like being informed of the weather and traffic around me....

i'm SOOO glad I shopped around and found exactly what I was looking for when truck hunting... the Sony Nav/sound system was a MUST have for me.... I also use the sunroof and power sliding glass window just about every time I get in the truck if its 85* or less outside....

This thing is not just a truck for me now, its like a big toy...

The Factory NAV is almost like an early MyFord Touch system, without all the bugs. You can navigate and control a lot of functions with your voice, including setting the climate temperature.
