F-150 vs. Ram 1500

All you need to do is close a door on a dodge truck they just feel cheap, or just look the dash on a dodge that is a few years old. It is probably cracked. I'd say about 75% of people I have met over the years, who have owned a dodge HALF Ton would not buy another one. Lets be honest dodges just don't hold up well, how many old dodges do you see driving around vs. f150's?

Planning on hauling anything or towing as well? Payload alone is worth the F150 purchase. I read that the air suspension doesnt increase capability either. I looked at a crew sport1500 and its payload was 1080lbs. My current 150 is 1980lbs, thank you max tow. Take the hitch weight off the payload, add in the family and dog, you ll be lucky to haul anything more than a single can o beer!

Odd...how many people on this forum have chosed the Ram over the Ford?
What does that mean? The MSRP's are the same, but the Ford has better incentives?
OK, I guess that makes sense...
I think this guy posted this question on a Ram site and just copied the entire post to this site too.

Five-0 Ret.
I'm in...Dude, go with the Ford. If for nothing else the flat floor in the rear. You can put a ton of sh** back there. Also Fords hold there value longer. So in a nutshell, better truck, lower price, tows/hauls more, better value. And, of course I may just may be a little bias here, it's much better looking truck.
Oh BTW, the Ford isn't built by a bunch of dope smoking line workers either.

Why is he "trolling" ? Maybe he really is considering both? Why are people talking about the Ram they drove a few years ago? It's a new truck this year. Lol @ some of this forum.

Well...it certainly seems that the gentlemen over at the Ram forum are much more polite now, aren't they?
I'm a Ford guy through and through, but I must say the Ram is a mighty nice truck. I certainly wouldn't consider one for towing anything more than 6000 lbs, but if it's going to be a grocery getter with light duty then it's certainly an option.
The dealerships here in Denver are closed on Sundays, so it's a good time to look them over without being hassled. Quite frequently the doors are unlocked, too. I've scoped out the new Rams, crawled under to look at the chassis, sat inside...they're damn nice and appear to be put together quite well. The same, of course, can be said of the F-150.
I reckon you made up your mind before you posted here and are just looking for that "a-ha" reason you hadn't considered to change your mind. So...have you considered this?....Ram may not be in business in any number of years, and that alone steers me away from even considering one of their trucks. Don't scoff at that, it's a real possibility.

Agreed. Seems like he posted legitimate questions/ observations and he's just looking to get a little info from both sides to weed out the brand loyal from the facts. If you're on the fence with an investment like this- it never hurts

But he also stated that he was heavily leaning towards the ford on this site, but then leaning ram on other sites?
Otherwise, I think this is a legit question that he just wanted answers to. I just don't see how a cheaper truck with more features is less appealing?
