I swapped out just the muffler, keeping the factory piping. I had a Banks Monster 3" Polished Stainless Muffler installed and I love it. Its a louder than stock but not very loud. You can barely hear it when cruise is set, and no drone at all.

I had a muffer delete before my roush exhaust and they both sound totally different. The resonator exhaust had hardly any drone and the tone was kind of raspy and tinny at WOT, but it wasn't horrible sounding though. 
Roush kit it alot cleaner and deeper tone, but there is drone compared to the muffler delete. Seems to be resonator kits are they way to go with no drone. Did you S-type come with a borla resonator? If so thats a better route, the stock resonator is cheap.. Mine had soot around the crimps from leaking...

Perfect fit, no mods needed at all for the install. Took around 45 minutes on a lift, including removing the Roush. I've had the Borla since December, about 6k miles, and zero leaks, zero problems, excpt keeping my foot out of it.LOL
