Default Engine cover

I searched this but couldn't find anything, I'm really surprised with the 5.0 engines it doesn't have any cover or badges or anything it's like it's the stepchild engine and I love mine so I was wondering has anyone tried fitting the mustang cover on there?

Few have, do a search will find lots of info

You will have modify stuff to make fit.

The intake tube hits the cover so you either need to buy a aftermarket intake or trim the cover.

The heater core lines on the truck run differently than the mustang so you either need to lift the cover using custom mounts or reroute the heater lines which requires draining if your radiator and cutting lines.

You will also have to get the grommets from ford to attach it to the Intake manifold.

I bought my intake and coil covers from RoushPerformance user name off eBay for $80 shipped!

Because if this my cover is currently in my attic. Once I hit 50K miles I'll change my coolant and will do the mod then.

I'm still debating how I want to mount my cover. Also trying to decide how I want to paint it.

As you said Ford pushes the Eco so much they made a cover for it so when people popped the good it would look nicer in hope to get people to buy more Ecos over the 5.0L. At least that's my theory.

my theory is they hope to get more people in EB's because the EB makes their service departments more money
