For the record the '14 pump design doesn't seem to be much better. Mine was replaced twice in the first 10,000Km (~6000miles). Not inspiring a lot of confidence here either. This truck is gone as soon as possible.

Brittany here; I'm happy to help with this however I can. I'll need some information from you first in order to hit the books. Give me the scoop; what're some symptoms you're experiencing with the truck, as well as the current mileage? Let me know if you've visited the dealer as well and, if so, what the outcome of the visit was.

My vac pump on my 11 was replaced at 38k Kms and it has just over 62k Kms on it now and it is howling again. Still working just noisy. The new plastic design is obviously just as ****ty as the old metal design. Insane how this isn't a safety recall.

I'll get this escalated to your regional customer service manager, winchested. Please send a PM my way with your full name, VIN, servicing dealership, and best daytime contact number. I'll get started!

2012 Ecoboost here. I had the original pump changed out at 65k miles. Now with 91k on the ticker, the replacement pump is starting to make the grinding noise at startup. Ford needs to man up and come clean about these faulty pumps. 750$ to change one out is way out of line when it is a known issue.

Default Good Luck with Ford Service

I purchased a new 2011 Ford F 150 Ecoboost Screw. It now has 75,000 kilometers on it.

In the last 4 months I have had to complete the following work;

1. Replace coolant chamber
2. Replace Front Brake Vacuum Assist Pump
3. Replace Front Brake Pads and Rotors (because of Vacuum Assist Pump)
4. Replace Oxygen Sensor
5. And I am one of the lucky ones that has the timing chain issue

Ford has done nothing but admit there they cannot fix anything if it is not broken.

Has anyone had the replacement of the brake booster pump covered under the ESP extended warranty?
