It's not the electrical system itself. It's the electric power steering assist. The extra weight puts strain on that motor and will burn out. Although there is one plow that's approved by ford for any truck with electric power steering assist. it's on the forum somewhere there's a link to it. It runs right around 5 grand.

Otherwise get a 6.2. They don't have steering assist. Ford allows plows on those

Yeah I know. Screw it if they want to be able to get out of they're house and to work they better deal with it lol.

I thought it was because of the electrical surges with the plow causing a low voltage, high amperage draw with the power steering...not the loading of the frontend and the not powerfull enough electric powered assist design...my bad.

Here's the plow that Ford approved

http://www.snoway.com/index.cfm/act/plow/s/12

If you look up Zero419 under search you'll find him. He put a snow plow on his 2011, along with a few others. And they have had no problems.

Id get a few year old truck for plowing. Wouldn't want to just hammer a brand new truck like that.
