Average 15.5 with our 2013. That's with my wife driving. I believe I could do better if it was my daily driver based off the little bit I've actually driven it.

I get on average 16.5-17mpg. I actually do better in town than the freeway. When on the freeway I tend to go the speed limit or slower. The killer is the aero drag. When you realize that 5mph doesn't save you much on small trips but eats much more gas it makes sense to slow down. Around town going down the main blvd I can maintain a steady 45 mph. My truck is a '13 ecoboost scab max tow 4x4 offroad with the 6.5' bed & stock LT tires on 18" chromies. To get as good as I do I use 93 octane gas, drive like I have an egg under the gas, coast when ever I can, turn it off on long waits, and don't carry along a bunch of un-needed crap. Best mileage I have gotten is driving from little rock ar to mountainview ar. 21mpg pn that trip. While most of the drive is up & down hills the down hill part you can really use the weight of the truck to your advantage & coast. The uphill part you have to use boost but if you use it sparingly it helps fuel. Worst I've gotten is 11mpg. I was in a hurry & averaged 80mph on the freeway with spurts up to 90.

My current lifetime average is 17.9 but when I filled up I was actually getting 16.9. During the summer if I stay between 45-55 the instant fuel economy meter stays pegged at 30 mpg. Right now if I travel on the highway doing 65 I'm averaging about 20-21.5 but in the summer it's about 24. I work 10 minutes away from home and take all side streets so it's stop and go traffic; so I have a lot of runs where the engine isn't warmed up fully by the time I pull into the parking lot. When I first bought my truck and drove it home from the dealer, I got about 24 mpg. I took and pic and uploaded on this site here somewhere. Fuel economy is based on your driving habits, temp stuff outside, fuel quality and lots of other factors. I'm in Chicago so we don't have any mountains but there are some smaller hills to climb. It's amazing to see how just the slightest pressure on the gas pedal and make the fuel economy go down instantly.

I call BS. 24mpg average? 30mpg instant rolling down hill

I have a 2013 Lariat with HD-Tow and HD-Payload and a 200lb ATV hauler on the bed. I get 15.5 maybe 16 in the summer and right now I am getting around 14 with winter fuel. I am not easy on the gas I usually drive around 75mph. It takes about 8 - 10 miles before its warmed up and gets better mileage too. If you run a lot of short trips you will never get good mileage. I don't care I love my truck.

Well, I was a the dealer just this Friday looking at what it would cost me to upgrade my FX4 to a Lariat HD...
Any who, the sales guy I was with always order the same demo, FX4 eco max tow and told me the bigger mirrors cost 1.5L/100km in gas than the regular...
HTH
FYI. I compared the the max tow to a non max tow (mine), the only difference i can see is that the trany cooler has 1x row more than the none. I tried to measure the rear bigger bumper with my mechanic fingers... I "think" I can feel a 1/32 second difference in the two (side by side) LOL
So beside the cooler (on eco) I think you are paying Ford 700$ for stickers with bigger rating (my opinion...)
Bigger cooler does nothing but cool the trany a litter more, has nothing to do with bigger frame, suspension or brakes.
Rant over

I just went to Las Vegas and back from San Diego. Pulled my flat bed 10' trailer. Did 60 mph almost the entire distance. Had to do stop and go at Victorville for an overturned semi-trailer on the way up. And again on the way down for an overturned Explorer at Cajon Pass.

Hit Vegas at 24.7. Home at 23.7. 2013 XLT. 3.55 gears. 17" tires. Keeper.

It's got 56,000 on it now. Mileage did go up at about 20,000 miles.

Got 28.8 coming down from Los Angeles to Oceanside last week.

For those with an EcoBoost and the Max-tow package, what are some of your average MPG's? I assume the gigantic side mirrors that come with the max-tow must introduce additional drag on aerodynamics, combine that with the taller (numerically) gear ratio (3.73 in my case), and one should expect the max-tow package to tip in with a lower MPG then non-Max tow rigs. But thus far my fuel economy has yet to break out of the 13MPG range [empty] for combined driving. I'm not here complaining, just looking for feedback from others with Max tow. I continue to remain optimistic that my fuel economy will improve over time with more hours logged and a lager data set to sample from.
I have a 2013 KR MaxTow,4x4,3.73 rear,6.5ft box CC,off-road, I was getting 17 mpg's around town and now have been averaging 16.1 over the past 4k miles. Its hard for me to get a tru ave on a daily driver because I tow a boat every weekend and that kills my mileage by 4-5 mpg loss.

I have a 2011 EB Super Crew 4x4 3.73 Max Tow. I get around 20 on highway non-towing and 17 around town. Of course I am older and don't drive foot to the floor everywhere. When I idle extensively in hot summer to run A/C or cold winter for heat, it kills MPG! When I tow 6,000 lbs boat in the mountains, only getting 10-12.

I just got back from a 6 hour trip and was averaging 18.9 mpg with the ecoboost, max tow and 6.5' bed. I had my hunting stuff with me too.

2012 Ecoboost, Max Tow, 373's, stock everything with a 150 mile round trip, 5 days a week, 20-21mpg easily. With the winter fuel its around 19mpg.

Mpg did go up after I first bought it.
