ok here's a dumb one.
2010 FX4 with lux pkg. Book shows heated side mirrors but I don't see any symbol on the mirror to indicate this. I'm coming off of other vehicles that always had some symbol on it usually a picture of a mirror with wavy lines to indicate it was equiped with heat.

Is it just not a ford thing or is something up. It's supposed to be standard on this vehicle according to the handout brochure.

If you have a truck with the new 'rear window defroster', you should have a button for rear defrost, the heated mirrors(if equipped) will come on with that switch also.

 

If you're looking for some marking on the mirror itself, nope, they don't have it.

 

Thanks, I'm used to seeing it on the mirror to indicate that it's equiped with it. I just was worried with the winter coming and couldn't really believe that it was left off the build.

no markings on mirrors, but you should have a button right next to your defrost button and there should be a "mirror" shape on it. that's what you use to clear your mirrors. a great addition to these trucks i might add.

I do have the rear window defrost and was thinking that operates the mirrors as per comment early.

 

If you have the rear window defrost, when you push that button it also activates the heated mirrors. There is no separate button when you have the rear window defrost
