Default Leveling kit or no leveling kit?

I have a 2010 f150 XLT extended cab, I'm trying to save money and I want to get the biggest size tires for my money with out having to get a leveling kit, I'm not sure how big I can go without a leveling kit, the truck came stock with 235-70-17, any ideas on tire size or what I should?

Not sure its the biggest, but I went with 275/70-17 BFG AT's. Looks 100% better, rides better, and the speedo is dead on according to my GPS. ( was about 2 to 3 slow) I had to change because I wasn't going to pull 7000lbs on p-metrics so I switched to LT's load range E. I'm still trying to figure out why they ordered a truck with all the towing stuff and didn't upgrade the tires, but it worked ok because I also was able to get $90 each trade in since my truck only had 100 miles on it when I switched.

Mine is a 4x4 so that may change things if yours is 4x2

All that being said, I think I could get a 285/70-17 on no problem

I'll be posting pics on Tuesday , after I get the windows done and the bed rug in.

if it's a 2wd, you should be able to fit 285/70/17's under it with a little room to spare. i have a 2wd with the 18s and i run 265/70/18 which are the same height. with the 285's you might have a slight rub at full lock due to the width, but height wise you should be fine. if it's 4wd, you should be fine either way.

I didn't want to level mine either, but after looking at some before and after pics, it's a must do!!

These are my after pics.

Thanks guys, I appreciate the help. I'm going to try and get the 285/70/17 with out the leveling kit. If not I'll try the 275 or 265, and my truck is a 4x2. Also u got a really nice Fx4.
