Because its a Wiley motor. Lmao.

Really, I don't know, but am curious too. It might have just been a code name like many corporations will assign to secret projects.

Here in Houston, the Exxon metropolis being built up in the Woodlands was called Project Delta for a very long time until Exxon made the formal announcement.

I always find it funny when people say, " I have a Triton V8, or a Coyote 5.0". Like its some super special Ford motor or something.

I remember or heard that originally what we call the 5.0 Coyote was voing to be called the hurricane motor. But ford decided to call it coyote because they thought hurricane was in bad taste after the big hurricane that got new orleans. It was just the corporate moniker assigned to the engine.

After reading that entire article I feel pretty good about hitting 4000 rpms once in a while towing. Sounds like it should last as well!

Max hp is right around 4250 rpm anyway. Higher rpms will not hurt this engine. Just a different motor to what we all used to have. Way different experience for me compared to the 4.6 and 5.4's i've had in the past.
