Which drop shackles are you using?
What drop shackles is everyone using? How much did it acutally drop yours? JLP claims a 2 or 3" drop with theres. Anyone used those and got a full 3"? Are pinion shims needed?
pinion shims will more than likely be needed IMO. Some say they don't need them but im convinced they aren't aware of the vibrations. I wanna say mine are belltech but not sure. Got them used from another member.
I had belltech on mine. The kit did not come with shims, and I had a pretty hard vibration from 15-20mph. I was worried about damage to the transmission in the long term, so I just put it back to stock. I may still try to find the shims and put the drop shackles back on, with the shims, but for the time being, I'm not fussed about it.
Mine were supposed to be 2", but with the weight of the bed cover and my golf clubs in the bed (I carry 2 full golf bags, one with my playing set, and one with 2 spare sets of irons, and 3 spare drivers, just in case), the back end sat just a hair lower than the front. I noticed it, because it was my truck and I notice those things, but most people did not.

I have the DJM 2" drop shackles:
You can see above that there are two holes that are 1" apart. I used the farthest holes and got right at 2" of drop. If I had used the other hole I would have gotten a 1-1/2" drop.
I didn't install any shims and have no vibration.
