Sure wish I could get this done but my local truck shop says to stay away from doing it. They have never done one that did not have a vibration afterwards

Where you located?

I drove the truck almost all day after I did the drop and it was just as smooth as stock with no issues at all. Sounds like the shops your going to don't even know what there talking about which is prolly a good thing for your sake they don't want to touch your truck.

I'm in Clearwater Florida. And it's a very reputable truck shop that's all they do is trucks. Have used them in the past for a lot of things including drop shackles on my 2009 gmc sierra. But when I brought the new truck they warned me. They even did one for the local dealer. Guy who bought it took it back had them remove the shackles

It's a very simple install, if you have a floor jack and jack stands you can do it. You can PM me and I'll give you my number and can either talk you through it via text or on the phone.

OR if you even come to New Orleans holla and I'll knock it out for you for cheap.

I've wanted drop shackles but have hesitated because of the vibration issues I've read about here. I hope the other shims work for you.

Yes I'm starting to regret it. Ordered the 3s but I may put the shackles in the other hole tomorrow and see what happens

Default 2012 fx2

I just had the Ford Racing (Ground Force) kit installed with the pinion shims and I have a vibration. It seems worse accelerating from 15 to 20 mph or so. Not sure if moving it to the other hole might work or if I should just remove the shackles and put the stock ones back on. I am concerned that Ford may try to void my drivetrain warranty even though they are Ford Racing shackles. Any suggestions? Thanks.

Ground force shackles on the 1.5" setting and I did not need the shims.
