Default DRL's from headlights to ambers

Anyone know if its possible to change the DRL's to activate the signal amber lamp instead of the headlights?

Can't answer your question unfortunately, but I do know in Canada where DRLs are required, the 2013s with HIDs are running the amber lights as DRLs. I'd love an answer to this myself, maybe some retrofitters can chime in on this.

I would love to know this too. Is it possible that it is jusr a flash to make them the same as the 2013s? The headlight DRL issue is keeping me from HIDs in my 2011

I wish this was something we could change in the software with an aftermarket programmer (like an SCT tuner). SCT, are you listening?

This is becoming a growing issue with the HID retrofit (and PnP HID crap) scene. For me, I want to change the DRL setup for when I finish my retros. I don't know if the dealer could change the programming to just use the ambers or fogs as there may have been a wiring change in 2013, so I may get around to phoning them sometime this week. But most vehicles I see with factory HID setups have the DRL somewhere else. My mom's lincoln has the parking lights as DRL's too. My dad's old Escalade had a set of cheap azz halogens above the projectors running as DRL. I really don't care which lights run in the daytime as long as it's not my projectors.

My 2013 has the DRLs enabled and it uses the amber turn/parking lights. It's because it has the factory HIDs.

Did the dealer enable it for you? I'd like to have DRL's too.

Wonder if Ford changed the wiring in the 2013 or if it can be done on the computer?
