I have a new 2012 xlt that i bought in Oct. Runs fine, except for the dang driver's window. It seems like something isn't tight on it. It goes up and down fine when told to, but when i am driving it seems like the pane of glass is moving in door frame just slightly. I keep hearing squeaks especially if i ht a small bump or go over railroad tracks. I know i have to take it to a dealer for repair, but does anyone else have this issue or know what the cause could be? I hate that a new truck with 4500 miles on it already has rattles and squeaks! Thanks.

 

I have 2012 fx4 crew and I have not had any squeaks that I have noticed in the window..

 

I have a 2010 screw. The front windows when rolled down, make a sqeak every time. Its quite annoying. But no movement when in motion.

 

Mine doesn't do it either.

 

Same issue here with my 2011 but only the passenger side. Tried silicon spray but no joy.

Sorry OP, don't have your same issue but as you stated you need to take it in. I know on these trucks the windows can be reset somehow, that might fix it.

Does it continue to squeak and make noise if you press on the glass while driving? Are you SURE it's the window??

 

They can be reset? That's news to me! It seems like if it went up another 1/8th inch it would be fine. Thanks.

 

Still squeaks when i apply pressure. Almost wonder if it is the window gasket making noise because window needs to go up a fraction.
