My 2011 is continuing to do this and I'm wondering how common this is and if there is any solution to the problem. Another bump. Looking for someone who had the problem and got it resolved.

Sounds like several folks have taken their trucks into the dealer for this but no posts of whether the problem was fixed.

Well so far the lines/aid have not disappeared again, but mine isn't nearly as frequent as some of the ones you guys mention though.

Camera replaced on Monday and now the Guidelines are there all the time. I have the upgraded instrument panel in my XLT. My Visual Park Aid is not there at any time. The instrument panel interface indicates Guidelines Off when they are actually there. I reset the Guidelines to On and the Visual Park Aid to On and back out then recheck to find the Guidelines and Visual Park Aid set to Off. It appears the fix is to set the software in the camera to On regardless what the instrument panel interface indicates.

So does that mean that the Visual Park Aid doesn't work anymore with this "fix" . If so it doesn't seem like a real solution to the problem to me.

It seems like the defaults are Camera "on", visual park aid and guidelines "off". If I drive mine several times a day it seems like my guidelines will stay on but if I let the truck sit for a day or so they seem to go off. If that is true it would seem like a problem with the memory for settings. I haven't taken mine to the dealer yet as I don't want to waste time while they try multiple "solutions" and fuss with replacing things that probably aren't the solution. Has anybody actually had their problem completely fixed?
Thanks.
