Default Disappearing Backup Camera Guidelines

I have the backup camera option in the rearview mirror (no nav). I've turned on the Fixed Guidelines and the Visual Park Aid Alert several times. Normally they stay on, but sometimes when I put the car in reverse both are gone. I have to go through the menus to turn them back on and they'll stay around for a few trips, and then all of sudden will be gone again. I can't find any rhyme or reason for it. Any ideas?

Ditto. No clues or rhyme or reason. The dealer is working on it but maybe someone else has a fix.

I have an aftermarket camera, nice high end camera but did not have the lines. I was bummed but then after using it a few times didnt miss them at all. I have my ball hitch on and can see it clearly and use that as my guide.

As to your problem, that sucks. It should stay on when you set it to on.

I have the same setup as you, but I've only seen this problem happen once -- I have seen others mention it.

I have the same issues with my new 2011. The back up lines disappear once and a while but I have also found the screen goes fuzzy and sometimes even turns blue with no picture...

Had this happen to mine this morning. When I backed out of the drive way they worked fine. When I put it in reverse to back into my parking space at work, no guides!

Have the NAV system. Have never had to reset the grid lines (to ON) or the audible alarm either. Once set they have remained. I've had my truck for a little over 5 weeks.

Wonder if this is isolated to the rear view mirror setup?

I Love the back up lines. Back into parking place ever day at work.

What aftermarket camera setup are you using?

I know this isn't related but I have had my easy entry on my 2011 FX4 come on randomly even tho I turned that off the day I bought it at the dealership. I went in to the menu and it didn't have a check mark beside on or off which was weird to me. I checked no and drove to my destination. When I went to leave again I checked it and it was off and once again had a check beside the off.
