Exclamation Dash reflash/programming

Does anyone here know how or if it's even possible to reprogram a dash or reflash it? I installed a 2013 dash in my 2011 XLT. I kept the original 2011 gauge cluster which still works fine, BUT the 2013 radio and HVAC to not work properly. Does anyone have any idea about how to fix this? I talked to my local Ford dealership and they said it's not possible, but they also really didn't understand my problem.

Any help? Thank you.

I would try comparing options on the radio and climate controls. Check the wiring diagrams. May need to update/upgrade sync unit and/or climate unit. I don't think it's as simple as a reflash. Look into using forscan on it after comparing units. It could be a possibility.

I will have to use use Forscan, but i'm still waiting on my bluetooth adapter. I also have a snap-on scanner but it's not able to flash computers...

Individual modules can be flashed using Forscan but I'm not so sure the 2011 cluster will work with the 2013 body control module, you did get that part with the 13 dash right?

Bottom right side of dash, it's part of the fuse panel.

Ah, no I'm still using the 2011 BCM. The gauges and cluster work fine, it's just the stereo and HVAC. The radio won't turn off when the ignition is off and the door is opened and there is zero happening with the HVAC. No lights, no controls, nothing.... the blue backlights do work though...

You will need to flash all modules to the same as built data from the 13. Get the vin# of the donor truck and flash everything or you will have communication issues (non functioning systems). If that don't fly you may need that 13 bcm.

I do have the donor VIN so hopefully this works. If not, it looks like I have a ton of work to do putting the old dash back in and fixing the wiring in it...

What happens if I can't get the 13 BCM? Would there be an option for another 13 BCM, from a junkyard or something?

Thanks for all the help.

Try flashing the asbuilt of the 13 bcm first. That may be all you need to do. If not then pretty much any bcm from a 13 should work.
