Default Dash lights constant on?

Any how to info out their on how to keep the dash lights illuminated during the daytime, besides turning the head or parking lights on. It's become a pain in the *** trying to see my gauges without turning the headlight switch on.

Only way I am hearing of people doing that is putting tape on the sensor on the dash. Easiest and most cost effective

I thought they were on by default? Mine are on whenever the key is on. I have never seen them off. They do dim when it's dark but even in direct sunlight they are on. I keep the headlight switch in the Auto position FWIW.

Your saying that on the 2011's you can actually read your gauges anytime of day? I have a 2010 and have never liked the fact that on a dreary day I can't see my gauges.

Exactly 09/10 have the sensor on the dash. 11+ are on all the time.
