Default In dash ipod install auxillery audio tap.

I have a 2011 XLT SCAB. It has just the right amount of bells and whistles. I have a factory cd am/fm with audio aux in no sync which means no usb2.

In dash ipod install auxillery audio tap.-image-167649063.jpg

I really want to install my iPod in dash like this pic I found on the Internet. Is there a away to tap into the back of the aux in jack? But at the same time keep the jack usable.

Just want to bring this back up to the top to see if anyone knows how this person mounted the iPod?! I'd love to do this but want to know what method was used to mount from the back. Please anyone who has ideas respond.

Sure you could. That said you're going to want a way to disconnect the iPod if you plan to plug something else in to the jack. Two simultaneous connections could wreck something.

I did something like this when I was a kid and the amplifier in the weaker device (clock radio) was ruined.

I heard they used a little double sided tape and a 2x4 to keep it in place. If you look at the pic they have sync.

EDIT: Just read what you actually asked... lol. It can probably be done, but I wouldn't know how.

That storage bin on my 2012 isn't nearly as wide as my iPhone or therefore an iPod Touch.

That mod was done on a 2010 near as I can tell.

Cheers,

correct. this will protect the ipod if someone plugs something into the dash headphone jack before you can turn the ipod off. if you want to protect BOTH devices, you'll need 4. 2 to ipod 2 to dash jack
