Default D-Bug Screen?

So, how much does the D-Bug Screen acutally help? I'm going to be driving around in Texas and Arkansas and figure I will run into some bugs down there.

Is it worth the $30 for the screen thought dbugscreen.com?

Mine has been on for 2 years and it works to keep the bugs out of the radiator.

I ordered and received mine the other day. I'm about to head out and install. Love bug season down south is rough on the front of the car and windshield for a few weeks if you plan to do some travelling.

I got mine last week. Ordered directly from their website rather than their ebay store. Was cheaper that way. I will mention one issue that has been debated with regards to the intercooler screen. I personally feel that this screening material could inhibit air flow to the intercooler because it is a screen (mesh) design. How much air flow I am not sure. I have a carriage works grille on my lower bumper but that still allows a lot of air flow into intercooler but doesn't stop all the bugs. I would just think a screen let alone once packed with bugs could maybe possibly cause an airflow issue to intercooler, but perhaps not. I am sure this will be debated and I am not on either side of the issue. I just figure when it comes to the intecooler I will rinse it off occassionally and take a soft brush to clean it up..

I ordered the DBS bug screen for the eB direct from the DBS website. It's in transit and should be here next week sometime. My new truck has just over 2k miles on it and the radiators and oil cooler are full of bugs already. The screens can't be any worse than the radiators packed full of bugs and I think the screens will be easier to keep clean, at least I hope so.

I've had mine for a while now and am constantly amazed at how much it catches. I even had feathers in it one time I looked. Over all I am happy I got it. Also, I saw some one on here who made one himself and after supply costs and going through the labor of making it I decided to just buy one already made than save a couple bucks and have to put it together.

Anyone use these screens without problems when going through a touchless car wash. Just wondering about the front when the water jets hit it.
The D-Bug site says NOT to use a pressure washer to clean it.

I would guess to say that if your touchless carwash has pressure jets aimed at the front end you shouldnt use it.

I handwash my truck. No pressure washers.
