My truck currently has a floor shifter and center console. I'm looking to convert it to a column shifter and a bench seat.

Has anyone done this? I'm assuming that, since the inverse is possible, this too, should be.

I've searched a ton and I can't find anything.

Has anyone who has gone from bench to console chime in??

You know, I'm kind of with him on this, even if he is trolling. I guess I just like the feel of a bench.

 

that's why im going for it. i liked having a column shifter and the front bench.

Be more aware the next time you buy a truck? Sounds like a lot of work.

 

For sure, I'd never do it. I would just like to see how it would be done.

It wasn't due to a lack of awareness. The other options I wanted necessitated the console. Unfortunately Ford has repeatedly denied my requests to come up to Dearborn and pick each part :P

more aware? i was aware of what i wanted when i bought the truck. that's why, you know, i bought the truck.

 

Even if you found ALL the parts ,there would be many trips too a dealer to get it all reprogramed.
