Default Cellular remote start for 2013

I would like to add the cellular remote start unit to my 2013 but I see that the RMU part number DL3Z-19A390-B is discontinued. (I have the 2 way remote and security already installed)

Does anyone know if the newer DL3Z-19A390-C would work (this is supposed to be 4G and not 3G?)

If I found a dealer with a leftover
DL3Z-19A390-B unit can it still be activated and work?

Are there any other easily installed and compatible third party systems that will do the same thing?

I only know of two types of that system, one is U.S. the other is Canada and they are not interchangeable. If you can get hold of the U.S. version any dealer that's ever sold them should still be able to activate it for you (over the phone) no dealer visit required. Canada version I am unsure of.

New they come with 3 days free then you have to pay $50/yr for the subscription. Easily one of my most favorite mods on my truck.

Here's some reading fodder to help guide your way. http://www.fordremoteaccess.com/en/

The biggest issue is I cannot find one. One dealer listed the item but when I emailed them they said it was on backorder?

They've been discontinued for several years now so yeah finding one new is next to impossible. You might find a used one but the owner will have to transfer the system into your name in order for you to get it activated. It's a simple process on the net where they have been paying their subscription.

It's probably not actually in stock at that Ford site.

Nope, it will not let me check out on the Ford site, it takes me to the local pricing search.

I found the one on Ebay for $500 but I really dont want it that bad.

I emailed lakeland and they do not have it in stock, I guess they don't know how to update their site.

I emailed discountfordparts and havent heard back

I really appreciate the try though, thank you!
