Thanks for all the great responses and I understand why and what rust lol just with the light conditions my truck sees did not expect it this early but it is what it is. What are the best options to take now ?

Depends on your money situation. Cheapest route is a touch up pen with one of those sanding tips. Most expensive route, repaint, with clear bra done after.

BEST (Reader's Digest version) ...
  • remove the bumpers.
  • blast the bumpers.
  • prime the bumpers.
  • paint the bumpers. *(more betterer option) powder coat.
  • (re)install the bumpers.
  • (optional) cover in clear paint protection film.
