Question Can you program your own ABS module?

My ABS module went out like a year ago and I finally got on buying a new replacement. I had assumed I'd have to go to a dealer to have it programmed but someone told me I might be able to do it on my own. Is this true? If so, how does one go about doing this.

Thank you!

Forscan.org has a free program you can use.

I don't see the ability to program an ABS on the website. Am I missing it?

Scratch that, I was missing it.

You'll very likely need to use the full application on a computer.

You would absolutely need to run the Windows version to do any programming.

KTS and bbop,
Were you able to successfully reflash the used module using Forscan and get rid of all dash warning lights?

Default Program Replacement ABS Module 2012 F-150

I have a new ABS module. I have stored a copy of the old ABS module configuration. Question is....is there only one configuration program for the ABS module? I found only one using Forscan software.
If thats it then I am ready to do the swap and download old "AS Built" program I stored.

Any advice appreciated.
Thanks,
John

That's what I did. I pulled a used ABS module from a 2010 and installed in my 2012 and saved my copied AS BUILT file to program it. It cleared my ABS lights.

Can you go more in depth, you had no issue with a 2010 Module into a 2012
Did you download the file from the ASBUILT webpage after entering yout Vin?

How exactly did you do this with Forscan ?
