Default CAI Question

Anyone feel like they lost any power after putting a K&N CAI on the 5.4L? Or any suggestions?

Did you unplug the battery when installing? I noticed much better throttle response and power in higher rpm range

I gained great low-end when I installed an S&B conical on my '99 Ranger. I've lost low-end on Subarus and a 2003 Tundra with K&N filters and went back to stock on them.

I put a K&N CAI on my 2009 platinum last week and noticed instant improvement. Can really hear the unit from the cab. Love it!

did you disconnect your battery when you installed it? if not, unhook the - power cable let it sit for a bit, and reconnect it and start it up. if you did, then try a tuner, sct are the good ones
