Default Cabin Air Filter

Do the '14's have cabin air filters? I've been searching and looks like Ford quit doing cabin air filters in the mid 2000's. ???? Why? I work in dusty conditions. Looking at a new '14 Lariat + SCREW.

No cabin filters.
Seems crazy but there haven't been any in a while. My '06 was void of one too.

IF you have the heated/cooled seats option, you have a couple in cabin filters ...

The traditional cabin filter was discontinued in 2008 (and even that was a retro-fit kit).

Manufacturers stop putting them in because they were making the air more harmful than helpful. Those filter would get wet and mold spores would start to grow, defeating the entire purpose.

^ BS. It's for cost savings. My '07 Accord, '09 Tacoma, '07 BMW and wife's '13 CRV have them. I check them frequently knocking them out and replacing them at least 1x yr. No odors, no mold, and the interior is clean.

Those little round filters are the same ones I had in my '08 MKZ seats. Again, that car saw lot of south GA construction dust. Blk on blk. The dust just blew in my friend. Do they still offer the retrofit kit for the f150?

Besides the fact that it would not fit the 2009+ F-150 ...

The kit (F65Z-18D477-AA) is (and has been for some time) *OBSOLETE*

ONLY if the owners didn't routinely change/replace them.

Good for you, you keep up with the maintenance. However, your the exception and not the rule...

its crazy they don't... not even my raptor has one! I did find a retrofit kit from infinity overland that works great.
