Default Blown tweeter

I think I have a blown tweeter in my 2013 F150 on the speaker that is where the oh **** bar is on the driver side. I had installed new Infinity Kappas and I was testing them, so it is my fault, but I am thinking of just disconnecting it so I don't hear the crackling. Does anyone know how to get to it? I have searched for it, but I can't seem to find anyone who has done it. Thanks!!

I have the Kappas and think their integrated tweeters drown out anything you'll get from stock tweeters. I've actually dialed treble down quite a bit. I haven't disconnected my stock units but don't think I'd miss them if I did.

I completely agree!! Kappas are definitely worth every penny. I need to disconnect mine...I am tired of hearing the crackling that is coming from the stockers...just need to figure out how......

If anyone wants to trade for black pillars without tweeters I'll take them! Haha

Is that all I need to do is start pulling? I haven't tried it yet, but I was wondering if that is all it takes.

I will keep everyone posted. I hope it is as easy as that!!

Yep, just start at the top and pull...there is only one clip towards the top if I remember right.

I do not have an amp with my kappas. I just wanted improved sound, I didn't need the "rock my ears out" type of system. I am sure an amp would only improve the sound, but after I put them in to try and see if it would improve the sound without the amp, it sounded better than what I was going for, so I couldn't justify the work and cost of putting an amp in.

Thanks for the input RocketFoot. I have a weekend project now!
