Default Bilstein clunk?

Has anyone else had any issues with a loud clunk out of the Bilstein 5100’s on the downstroke of the front struts? I switched to them about six or seven months ago and I’ve got a noise and terrible jarring effect that I never had with my old AS spacers. I also have a full front replacement bumper that I thought could be causing some of the increased noise, but it only happens on a hard drop out of the front drivers side, not the passenger side. Has anyone experienced anything like this?? I’m sitting on the next to highest setting of the strut. Thanks!

Check sway bar links
Check nut on top of strut that goes through the strut tower (center of 3 outer nuts).
Odds are is that something isnt tightened enough.
Could be a ball joint too.

One of the many reasons why I like to do stuff on my own.

As do I but this was outta my league. I have basic automotive skills, oil change, brakes. I've done a torsion key swap on my ranger but installing bilstiens is above my head. Especially since I don't have a spring compressor.

This. I've seen a lot of these posts lately it seems like and this is always the problem. I followed the torque specs on mine and had no problem though, but a lot of people don't use torque wrenches!!

I just had mine done and the center nut on top of the tower wasn't tightened while sitting on the ground.

This is mainly the culprit. It has to be adjusted finally when the truck is under its own weight.
