Hello guys! new to this forum. Im looking to purchase a programmer for my 13 ecoboost but dont know what to get. looking at the sct x3 but read that it doesnt come with pre-programmed tunes. I dont really know much about tuning, is there anything i should know? Looking to get one with a screen to set up on my windshield, with all the digital gauges. Suggestions would be nice! Thank you!

5 star is popular here, so is mpt and ssi.

What do you want - extra power for towing or all out power? All thee are far better than stock but one has the most power and one has better logic for towing.

 

SCT provides their tunes with the tuners but custom tuners can provide a better tune for your specific needs.

 

just looking for pre programmed tunes, and something i can adjust the rev limiter, speed limiter, and shift points, and shift hardness. Would the sct x4 do that?

 

Yes the x4 can do that but you risk screwing up the truck if you don't know what you're doing with the changes. The canned tunes it comes with are a little better than stock but most certainly not worth the expense, get a custom tune and really enjoy your truck's potential and safely.
