Default Back up Camera

Has anyone figured put how to successfully turn on the back up Camera with a ball hitch installed, and keep it from that annoying beep beep beep beep.....sound?!
Sometimes when I back up it doesn't go off...but most times
it does!?
I leave the hitch on....so, you would have thought Ford would have figured that in when they engineered the F150?!

I guess Ford is trying to politely tell you to not to leave your hitch in...

But seriously, can't you disable it in the menu. of hit the 'OK' when it beeps?

I do that....and some times it doesn't BEEEEP.....then all of a sudden I'll back up and WAM... it does it again?! I try different screens, thinking in trailer mode it will disable .....again sometimes.
It also displays the color code in the ares affected...that's cool, but seriously. ...who doesn't just leave the hitch on?!

I don't cuz I have hit my shins on it so much, I finally gave in to removing it whenever I am not using it.

Other than what you have done, I think you may be SOL......

I don't because it won't fit in the garage with it on.

That's because it defaults to the ON position after turning the truck off and back on.

On my old 04 Titan.....the trailer hitch (8k+hitch that I now have on my 14 F150)...WAS my manual back up system.
Once I hit....a, concrete barrier at the mall (backing up of course) or a tree etc...then I knew I was there!
It doesn't like that little stabilizer ball off to the side of the hitch. I thought I'd be clever and just reverse the ball to underneath (No)
Funny thing is...it doesn't do it all the time
