Here is the Idatalink Ford specific harness...no splicing into original harness. With a Kenwood HU you simply splice color for color into the main Kenwood harness, maybe 8 or 9 connections. Very easy. Multiple posts on Maestro / Kenwood over in the audio section of the forum.

Does that Kenwood 9990HD come with bluetooth? That's what I want. Although, I'm seriously debating on trading my truck for an 11+ STX sc/sb because I have no need whatsoever for 4 doors.

In that case I would suggest you wait until after you trade. Otherwise you just waste your money or have to through the trouble of taking everything back out.

I do agree with the others on the Kenwood recommendation. Go on Crutchfield's website and click on "Outfit my Car" and they will list everything you need for a seamless integration with SYNC.

I don't have sync. My truck is very basic. Has satellite radio, but that's it. I want to add Bluetooth in.

Maybe add something like a parrot aftermarket Bluetooth kit?
