Default 5.0L Truck Shake at 70 mph

Just got back from a trip to hunting trip to Mississippi and truck did great. However this morning I am on the way to church and it noticeably starts shaking as soon as I hit 70. Never done this before and its only got 5,330 miles. Taking it in for first oil change and tire rotation tomorrow. Anyone had a similar problem?

Just make sure you don't have some mud on the inside of a tire rim.

My 2010 shakes pretty bad right around 60 (like within a mph on either side), and I've driven my buddies 2013 and it also has a shake around 65, but it's barely noticeable compared to mine. My understanding is that the shaking is a fairly well known problem, however it's odd that it would just start, I would've thought you would've noticed it earlier.

I'd definitely tell your dealer if you're already going in, maybe they can balance the tires and help it?

These trucks have a mysterious intermitting shake, I've been fighting with ford over mine and there's apparently no fix for it. Do a search here you will find that other ppl are complaining about it.

It's the tires. I been fighting with the dealer with this as well. They already replaced a set. Help a lot, but it came back. They re-balance the current set, seem to have fixed it but I won't know till I get on the highway later this morning.

Any of you got 18" Michelin's?

I have a 2013 5.0 with 6000 miles on it. My truck also had the vibrations at highway speeds. The dealer road balanced the tires when it was in for warranty work and that cured it, at least for now. The service manager initially said he would have to charge me for it, saying it was not covered under warranty, but in the end they didnt. Stock perelli tires.

My shake is back. at 150 miles it started violently jumping/bouncing driver's rear corner at 45 & 70mph. Replaced tire, shake was gone for 1500 miles, now it vibrates at 40mph and shakes/hops at 60. going back tonight for a fix I hope.

I think we are missing some needed information. You mention a 5.0 engine but do not say if you are running 2wd or 4wd, reg cab, Scab, Screw, long bed short bed, lifted, ETC. These missing pieces would help more than a 5.0 identifier.
