Default AMP BedStep

does anyone have an AMP BedStep? how do you like it?

also... does anyone know if it can be installed on both sides (passenger as well as driver side)? I like the idea of the bedstep, it would definitely help me access my bedslide but i'd like to have one on each side for equal access. plus I like the thought of using it as a seat too!

I have one and its on the driver's side, I would assume you can have it mounted on either side or have two but I opted for the one. I haven't used it much but I believe it to be a useful accessory. I also have the bed steps in front of the rear wheel, but I have the 6.5ft bed.

If you are referring to the bed step that the OP is asking about then yes, it helps climb into the bed and reach in as necessary.

the BedStep is handy for getting up into or accessing the back.

for me i'd like to use it when my bed slide is pulled out and need to reach in towards the back of the truck bed. I bet it would also be handy for washing the top of my tonneau bed cover.

I have one on both sides. If you have the short bed (like I do) you will have to order the AMP Research Bed Step 2. I use mine several times a week. I have a tool box in my bed and it aids in reach items in the tool box.

isn't the BedStep2 for accessing the back via the side of the truck vs the back bumper? or are you saying that the BedStep2 can also be mounted on the bumper (especially for the passenger side)?

I have been looking for these steps too. I would like something easier for getting up into the bed of my truck. But $250 for a single step is a little much to me. I think $100 should be more of a ideal price.

Where did everyone get theirs and for how much?

I'd like to get 2 if I can get confirmation that it can be installed on the passenger side. i'm not sure if one would be convenient or annoying.
