Trust me pictures do this system no justice... the door triggers it bright white while entering the cab then turns to your color choice when you shut the door. it also stays on after turning off the truck truck turning bright white while you exit... its the best 75 bucks i have spent on this truck.

I've got pictures and a write up of the Opt7 lights in this https://www.f150forum.com/f83/under-...310537/index3/ thread - post 118 and again at 122. There are other good pictures and advice in this thread as well.

eh I have heard those looks super cheap, but let us know if you give it a shot.

To everybody with the opt7 interior kit (I have and love it) where did you run your door wire to? I'm not sure where I should run it... Thanks!

I bought the different parts to install a similar setup to f150leds - which was first put together by others on these forums - those lights are finnicky - that wire/light is hard to get glued in cleanly and then mine worked for about an hour - then done. I've got to pull it apart and I'm just taking it out. Might try again another time this summer.

This from my install notes: - Door open switch - the Opt7 can turn the lights to white when you open the door if you connect the secondary wire. I tapped into the same wire others mention here - near the fuse box there is a green connector - I used a scotchlok on the wire in pin 4. The color varies by year model - greyish purple on the 2014.

I can't find it immediately but there is a link referenced in these threads by others from a 3rd party company that gives the information about that connection.
