Default Am I getting ripped off??

Went into my ford dealer to get a new tire for my truck since I got a nail in the sidewall. They said its $275 for a new Goodyear Wrangler. I looked online and they're about half that. Has anyone gotten a replacement tire for this price??

There is your problem. Only go to dealerships for warranty work and recalls.

Big Brand, Discount an America's tire all have much better service and prices.

I just sold a whole set of 4 brand new Wrangler SRA 275/65/R18s off my truck for $500. Replaced them with KO/2's. Dealer around here was asking $285 per tire for the Wranglers, lol...

I went to the dealership once and priced tires. Got online and got the same exact tire. Took them to the dealership and had them put on. Saved myself about 80 bucks after paying them to put them on. About 130 total.

Actually, most dealerships will price match Tire Rack prices (Tire+Shipping) and then charge for mount and balance on top of that. At least mine does

I always get them at my dealership, ends up being cheaper than most tire places around here, since they only charge $20 per tire for mount balance and disposal.

Why are you buying tires from the dealership?

I got a nail in the sidewall on a road trip and ford was the nearest place that cared Goodyear wranglers. It was actually $230 in total with new tire, check up and wash. Only took an hour so I'm disappointed.
